Camellia Cleansing Balm

A butter-to-oil balm that takes off sunscreen, long-wear base and the day itself, then rinses without a trace of tightness.

Oil cleansers do the heavy lifting in a tropical routine, because SPF and sebum are both oil-soluble. This one is built around cold-pressed camellia seed oil, which is close enough to skin’s own lipids that it dissolves makeup without stripping the barrier underneath.

It emulsifies fully. A balm that leaves residue behind is a balm that causes the congestion people blame on oil cleansing, so this one turns milky on contact with water and leaves nothing but soft skin.

1. Take a generous scoop onto dry hands and dry skin.
2. Massage for sixty seconds. Let it do the work rather than scrubbing.
3. Add a little warm water to emulsify, then rinse. Follow with a second, gentler cleanse if you wore sunscreen.
